What should I know for my first visit to a Hindu temple?
I am visiting a local Hindu temple for a school project and was wondering if there are any customs/cultural differences I should be aware of? Also, the service I plan to attend is called "Sri Venkateswara Suprabhatam," its form 9am-9:30am. Is this a walk-in service(am I allowed to attend uninvited), and if so, whats it like?

You should take off your shoes outside the temple and take off hat or anything covering your head. Ring the bell if there is any at the entrance. You can bring some flowers or fruits as an offering to the God. It sounds like South Indian temple by the name of it in which only the "pujaris"(priest) are allowed inside the building where the God's statue is placed. Bow and keep your hands folded together as a sign of respect to the God and priest. Keep looking around and try to follow what people are doing or simply ask for help.
