Are my friends right or wrong? Help!? Hi. My problem is my friends. I live in a small country florida town. No one wears designer clothes. I have a few Juicy Couture things and a couple of ralph lauren shirts and one shirt from vineyard vines. I am in an upper middle class category and I choose not to wear designer all the time, but I do like my look to be "preppy" or "classy" for the most part. I sometimes, every now and then even find a cute shirt at Walmart. Well, I love Hollister and Abercrombie tops and not the ones that have the huge logo across it. I like their lacey tops. Well I still consider them pretty high but I buy them. Okay so my friends told me that you can't be "Preppy or Classy" if you don't constantly buy at Ralph Lauren and Lacoste" to be quite honest.. my parents actually can afford these brands and I don't wear them all that much because I like frilly or lacey tops more than just polos and oxfords. I like a variety of ""dressy" clothes. I disagree with them because i think anyone can be preppy with the right look. Your shirt does not have to cost $150 for you to be considered "Preppy or Classy". What do you guys think? If they are small minded and only think one way, let it be. Just be who YOU are and you'll ALWAYS be right. Who cares what they think, anyway?
