Why do people believe in evolution? Sadly, even professing Christians claim to believe in it. It's a shame. The Word of God teaches that Satan is a liar of liars (John 8:44). The Bible reveals that Satan blinds men with philosophy, vain deceit, the traditions of men, and the rudiments (accepted principles) of the world. The Greek word for “rudiment” is stoykhion meaning “something orderly in arrangement,” i.e., a set of principles. Evolution is a commonly accepted rudiment in the world.
